Hey there friends!
Looks like someone’s protesting our departure…
Actually, this picture is from my trip to Toronto last March (as you’ll notice from the sweaters and pants, not swim suits and shorts!), but this is most certainly what she’ll be doing momentarily!
Today is travel day! We are finishing up our last minute packing, and tidying up our condo so we don’t come home to a mess. Actually, we do all the cleaning/laundry/ironing before we leave so that Marc’s mom doesn’t do it while we’re gone! She’s going to be here a lot taking care of our little cat, Miso. Honestly, she is a saint for feeding/cuddling/playing, aka babysitting, this spoiled yet ridiculously adorable feline of ours! It’s a 24/7 job I tell ya…
I’m going to miss the warbling, whines and meowing for attention…
But I’m certainly not going to miss the 5:00 wake up call every single morning!
You know what’s weird, when I left work yesterday it wasn’t the “Yay, I can’t wait to get out of here” feeling. I left thinking, “wow, I’m not going to be here for almost three weeks… this is so strange.” When I got home, Marc said the same thing. I don’t think it’s really hit me yet that we’re getting on that plane in just a few hours! Once we get to the airport I think things will change and we’ll just want to get there and on that beach
As I’ve said before, I’m not sure how much I’ll be blogging from Maui. I’ll have wi-fi and my iPad/iPhone with me, but I’m pretty new to the blogging in transit scenario! We’ll see how it goes. I’d like to be able to update you on the new restaurant finds, and how I’m faring with the Fab Detox (hey ladies!!) while traveling as well. I am going to allow myself to be present while relaxing and enjoying what the island has to offer, but it will be an interesting challenge that I am excited to embark on. I also think this will be a detox of other sorts in addition to food; which is why I’m not so sure I’ll be on the computer very much. I sure hope you’ll stick with me!
Staying connected with others via social media has been such a huge part of my life. Being able to share my journey, struggles and life has been an amazing blessing that I never thought was possible. Yesterday I met an gorgeously wonderful fellow blogger and Calgarian who just so happens to attend the same church as Marc and I have recently been attending! We are very new to First Alliance, so we have not yet met or connected with anyone. This was the perfect way to meet someone who has the same interests as I do!
Bonnie (from Life To The Full) and I met over Lindsay’s (Cotter Crunch), delicious Healthy Bites! She and I were tweeting a few weeks ago how much we wanted to try these tasty little nuggets and decided to share the shipping cost and order some! They finally arrived on Monday, so this happened…
Lots of sorting through… so fun!
I am so honored and blessed to have met Bonnie, truly grateful for the friend she is already becoming! We’ve made plans to join her small group when we’re back from vacation. It’s time to get involved and share our faith and grow with others. I am so pumped!
I’d love to say that these protein packed bites are going to help me in my workouts, etc, as they are meant to be, but they’re most likely going to be devoured on the plane! Perfect
So many fun, amazing experiences happening that I can’t wait to see what’s in store. For now, I’m getting into the Maui state of mind…
See you soon loves!
Aloha xoxo

yea! what an amazing blessing indeed. So cool that you all share the same church family too. WOW oh WOW!
Enjoy your vacay!
Thanks Lindsay!
God is certainly working!
So great to have met you! And I told our small group that you and Mark are in; we’re pumped to have you join us Tuesdays! Thanks for ordering/setting up/delivering the bites – can’t wait to have one to tide me over when I go home.
Have such a blast in MAUI! Breathe in the ocean for me as I’ll live vicariously through your adventures and tan.
Thanks Bonnie! I definitely will
looking forward to catching up when we’re back!!
